Outings with my mother

Every week there's something different~

 

I finally went with my mother to the mexican restaurant.

It was Saturday so they had a dj playing latin american beats.

Such a cheery environment!!! 

Got a tamarind beverage with a shot of tequila alongside my burrito. I always put a variety of spicy sauces, otherwise the taste is blunt, flat. They have a watered-down chipotle (with mayo 95%)... Why? 

How about us who just want intensity & aliveness?

I.want.to.feel ;A;  How do I explain this?

I crave this kind of satisfaction it brings.

 I feel restless, empty when something that's meant

to be spicy is not spicy. 

 

Anyway, especially chipotle which is a whole ceremony itself. That chocolatey smokey note? This flavour touches all of your senses~ It's not just consuming but getting immersed in the waht a fd what am I going on about?  

 

The chef-owner also served us a complimentary dish with nachos.

Needless to say I got soooo full I could not finish it all up. 

 

 What a whatever shot is that? haha But delicious!

 

 

 Then next outing with my mother was for an event she saw online for the lunar new year. It was a chinese new year event actually held from the chinese embassy. She was born on the year of horse so you get why she wanted to go~ 

 Amazes me how chinese festivities are so much different from Seollal I have experienced in Korea & also the lunar new year in Taiwan. I'm on the less-grand side where I won't feel overstimulated  

  

Too much red for my neurons ;-; It was nice though~ 

 Felt vibrant & lively in such moody weather.

 

 

We got these with my mum.  

  

I got the apple one of course because you know...

 

  Um I mean, the symbolism! It symbolizes safety, peace. And that's what it writes (hopefully in traditional) chinese; Quiet safety/well-being & warm joy. 

I'd like to use the words "inner contentment" as well. 

Heh, I love it's got my name's character on it.

 

 And my mum's is about wealth arriving asap haha. Matches the horse~ 

 

 

As we were walking, I saw this really cute store.

It's a cafe-bookstore. So many women were inside reading & having a beverage.

Soooooo cute & cozy! How much I enjoyed seeing them reading their books in such atmosphere.

Then we went for a coffee to a hotel's cafeteria-restaurant.

 

I wanted a quiet place to sit at, mainly because I've been functioning on low battery these days. 

Sadly the music was annoying hi-hat music so it did not help that much /-\ 

Why not house, lounge or smooth jazz?

Been so tired so maybe a shift is taking place? I've been having crazy dreams as well.

 

 

 

Writing this the next day after a great afternoon nap without crazy dreams. I woke up from a dream which was about me finding out I own a double-decked apartment & I started the renovations as soon as I got it.

My dream job probably. Owning, renovating & renting. The dream part is renovating, so when this high ends, at least you are left with the rent which is a quiet high every month.
